Who are we?

Updated: Jul 18, 2019

This week, we talk a bit about the development team. Some of our team members don't really like to be taken picture of, so we asked one of our artist to make cute and funny drawings of everyone, to put a face on the team, and make us easily recognizable in other ways than taking photos!

Jonathan Sevigny | Lead Designer, Creator and Writer

I'm the lead designer, creator and writer of Arkelon Chronicles. I've always been interested in fantasy and science-fiction, and this fantastical universe is in my head for as long as I can remember. Overall, I'm very interested in different tabletop RPGs, as well as RPG video games. I studied in video games as well as special effects and art design. I also have a lot of knowledge of different civilization, animals and fantastical creatures. I hope to bring fun to the table with a new and interesting experience!

Maïthé Roussel | Lead Researcher and Design Consultant

I've been a part of this project since day one. I like drawing, art and video games(especially World of Warcraft). I am the main researcher, scouring the internet for ideas, concepts and visual references. I am also a design consultant for the project, and a tester. I have been dipping in architecture, and want to follow a course in Residential and Commercial Drafting, as well as help to create maps for the game. I am also hyperactive and overall very intense.

Alexandra Simard | Writer and Design Consultant

I’ve been a member and tester since day one! I’m also a design consultant for the project, but most importantly, I’m one of the writers and translators. I studied History and International Relations. All in all, I’m very interested in anything allowing me to roleplay a character and take it to the next level, making them fascinating and riveting – that is one of the main things Arkelon Chronicles brings to the table. In terms of variety, be it in classes, races, spells or the setting in general, I’ve found everything I wanted in an RPG game right here, compared to other more known franchises, that always seemed to keep me a step back. None of this here! You’re entirely free - and that’s the best thing about it. I also like Star Wars, Pokemon, Skyrim and World of Warcraft(did I say Skyrim)!? Joshua Gallant | Alpha Tester

I joined the project around the middle of it, as an Alpha tester, dragging my friend Sidney in the process. I hoard dices, having different ones for each characters I create. I also try to make my own dices, and maybe make some for the game when I'll be comfortable with my molds and colors.

Jean-Christophe Chamberland | Alpha Tester and Balance

I am an Alpha tester from the very early time of the game. I also help create creatures and encounters for the bestiary. I am overall interested in Roleplaying games, especially DnD 3rd, 3.5 and 4th edition, as well as Pathfinder. I also love video games, with a particular interest for the Souls games, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. I am an overall very calm person, and have a good eye for balance and and statistics. I also had a very unfortunate experience with Mayo, but that's a tale for another day.

Sidney Durant-Prémont | Alpha Tester and Page Layout

I loves puzzle, cats and foxes. I study to become a social worker, but also studied graphic design. I started my roleplaying journey on 3.5 D&D, and never stopped since, finally joining the project as an Alpha Tester, following of my good friend Joshua, and just got swooped in. I use my experience in graphic design to make the page's layout and help create a beautiful, cohesive and readable book. I can rarely be seen without my trusty Rubik's Cube and small sketch book.

Amélie Côté | Alpha Tester and Merchandise Design

When I'm not hiding from adult responsibilities in a pillow fort, this potato-person can be found watching cartoons or reading comics, definitely like an adult. I also enjoys drawing, writing, and Earl Grey with milk and sugar. I makes the cute merchandises designs, as well as all of of team's pictures. I also joined the team as an Alpha Tester early in the process.
